Dear friends, this is not only talking about the many false prophets and teachers today, but includes also the (the people that want to hear them). Why is it that much of the Church world today, would much rather have a lie told them than the truth?
I have said again and again to myself, "I am going to stop speaking on these profiteering prophets, for they are never going away". But after watching a recent "Telethon", I cannot honestly keep quiet any longer, as I have watched the true purpose of the Word of God being so abused and trampled to no end, by the "Men of God" as they now call themselves!
I watched as the Lady (Evangelist) walked across the studio platform, microphone in hand, and places her hand over her right ear and says: "God just spoke to me! He says $1200.00 tonight"! Yes; God wants you to give a twelve hundred dollar pledge tonight to this Television ministry.
The night before, God supposedly spoke to another (Evangelist) and he said: "God is saying $77.00. Yes, God wants you to give seventy seven dollars tonight, or, a hundred and seventy seven, or, even seventeen hundred dollars. The following night, Another Evangelist of whom I have had some respect for in times past, made this statement: "God wants you to draw from the bank of His prosperity tonight, what ever you need".
Every one knows the Evangelist says, "that before you can withdraw anything, you must first make a deposit"! Tonight is that night to make that deposit, right here in the TV Ministry. As matter of fact, as you make your deposit tonight (a pledge, "you can withdraw this night" what ever you need from God, whither spiritual, physical, or financial! May God amighty help the blind and undiscerning Church today! They will believe just about anything, if the "man of God" tells them that God just spoke to him!
THE TIME WILL COME WHEN THEY...
When they what? When they "the people, the Church goers, or even more specific, the Christians", will NOT endure SOUND DOCTRINE, but after their own LUSTS heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears. You can watch them cheer in the audience, at some wild and un-biblical doctrine, or, sometimes an outright lie is told the congregation, and you get sick in the pit of your stomach when you see the poor deceived sheep stand and give a great round of applause to the "Man of God"! I watched also one night recently, when the (man of God?) told the people that: "If they made a pledge tonight, that GOD WAS GOING TO SAVE ALL OF THEIR FAMLY"! What a terrible lie to tell God's people, deceiving them to no end with their smooth words and fair speeches. Is it any wonder, that Jesus said BEWARE-or, be aware of false prophets?
These Prophets are not afraid to lie, or deceive, as the greed factor has completely taken them over. I hate to get into this but I must. Some well meaning Christian who seldom ever reads his/her bible, will say: "Just how do you know that God didn't tell them that"? Dear friends, THE PROSPERITY DOCTRINE as it is being taught today, is making the "Prophets rich, as the poor are getting robbed daily by these "Predators"!
Dear one, if you can believe all I have just told you- written- of the lying ministers above, then you are indeed in great need of a spiritual awakening yourself. I suggest you get into the Word of God (the bible) and take a look for your self, as it is your only safe defense and Haven, against all of these "Prophets that don't profit"! In the Telethon, night after night the lies went on! I'll not mention any more at this time, but "the flock actually cheered these (ministers) on"! "Can we say that we have proper discernment, and the fullness of the "Holy Spirit", when doctrines and teaching of devils, can not arouse us as to the danger" they are causing?
First of all, I am a Pentecostal preacher. I am not ashamed of that fact, as I have been one for 40 years, so this "prosperity game" the many of Charismatic's are playing today, is not new to me. I have watched it for many years. They have many variations of their teachings, but all have the same results. "Clean the flock"! DID GOD SAY IT?
Would a man lie on God? You betch-um! Listen to this one, from one of the largest TV ministries in the U.S., or was. Many remember when Oral Roberts went on radio, and told the world that God had threatened to take his life! Oral said God told him: "that if he couldn't come up with "eight million dollars" he was going to take him home!
This was just about one of the craziest statements I had ever heard! I was always under the impression, that we preachers were to tell people, if they repented of their sins and, accepted Christ into their hearts, that should they die, HEAVEN WAS THEIR HOME! Would God threaten Oral with the "awful reward of taking him to Heaven" if he couldn't scrape up the eight million? DID GOD REALLY SAY IT? In all of the Word of God, (both Old and New Testament,) Oral Roberts is the only man in the history of the world, that God has ever threatened with having to take him to Heaven, if he couldn't cough up enough money to stay out!)
Lucky for Oral, that God didn't have to take him to Heaven, for (Christians gave all across the country) to prevent him from having to go to such a place. This isn't meant to be funny friends, it is disturbing to me when TV Celebs, can say what ever they wish, and the CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST STANDS UP IN THE AUDIENCE AND GIVES APPLAUSE! God help the Church today!
As many know, Oral Roberts University, has been in a struggle over some of the actions of Richard Roberts, the now ex-President. I am not saying anything against the University, I feel that God has done a great work there over the years, and may continue to do so under different Leadership. But when there are problems in our lives, and we say that "God told us" something, when He didn't, we should be very fearful for our soul. Lying on God is no small thing! The statements below are written by the Associated Press. Did, or did not, God speak to Richard?

The ex-president of Oral Roberts University, on Wed, told students that: he did not want to resign as head of the scandal -plagued evangelical school, but he did so because God insisted". Richard Roberts told students in the University's Chapel: "that God told him on Thanksgiving day that he should resign the next day!"
Roberts is in a lawsuit over his spending at the university. Roberts said previously, that: "God told him-to deny the lawsuit's allegations".
The week the lawsuit was filed, Richard Roberts said that "God told him": "we live in a litigious Society. Anyone can get mad and file a lawsuit against another person whither they have a legitimate case or not. This lawsuit is about intimidation, blackmail and extortion."
Can you believe, that this GOD SPEAKING? Did God say this to Richard? Of course He didn't, but I said all of this to prove to you, that followers can have their own favorite Charismatic Minister, and sometimes the sheep are led astray "especially if you are not familiar with God's Word". All of these lies are absolutely preposterous. Still yet, through mass mailings, blessed handkerchiefs, holy oil from Israel, and the river Jordan, and a hundred different methods and false teachings, many of God precious sheep are being sheared, as they follow the "Pied Piper" to ruin and disaster.
DID GOD SAY IT? IS NO ONE AFRAID?
Did God tell any of the TV Prophets today, that you can "send all of your honest made "debts" through the mail as one Pastor says, and "we will burn them all on the "horns of the altar"? Do you actually believe that you would be out of debt? NOTICE, will all of your creditors call you, (or write) and tell you that you don't owe them anything now, all of your debts are paid? Do you think, God would approve of you beating someone else out of an honest debt that you made? DID GOD SAY THESE THINGS? In all of the history of the Bible, (both Old and New) God never told anyone to burn their honest debts!
And still yet, I watched while one TV Minister, tells Paul Crouch one night at another telethon: "Paul, Jesus is smelling the smoke of all of these debts we are burning here tonight"! I thought to myself, there may be something burning, (or about to burn) but it won't be the debts! GOD HELP THE CHURCH, as again they all stand and clap in the Amen corner. Was Jesus really smelling the smoke? Do you believe it? Was it true?
The "rip-off of the "little widow woman" story, and, the little widow "who gave all she had", or, the story of the "bake me a cake first for the man of God" is a MONEY GETTER! It has been used over the years by any number of preachers literally thousands of times for greedy solicitations! Hell must have a special place for those who take the Word of God, and use it to their own advantage, to lie, deceive, manipulate, take out of context, and rob God's unsuspecting sheep unmercifully today. Let me quickly say this: Many will say, "well, I give it to the Lord, what ever the preacher does with it is between him and God"! Let me tell you something child of God, "If God don't get it, you (ain't giving it to God"!) You should KNOW where your money is going, or, you ARE NOT A GOOD STEWARD OF GOD'S MONEY!
Still yet, when you try and explain to many what is happening to them by these shysters, they will say something like: "Touch not my anointed and do my Prophet no harm" or, Judge not lest ye be judged"-or still yet-"Obey the man of God". Many of God's fine people have been so indoctrinated in these few partial scriptures, that they can hardly make a right decision for fear of doing the wrong thing. Are all of the above acts of greed, done by "God's anointed"? Would God "anoint a man, to lie-manipulate-deceive, and rob His own children?
When a man can go unchallenged in any of his teachings, you can indeed wind up with a Jim Jones-or Jim Bakker. After all of Bakkers (yearly prosperity teachings), which netted him many millions of dollars of the sheep's money, he then winds up in prison. Then, the first thing he does after getting out of prisoin, he writes a book titled: "I was wrong". He stated that "all his prosperity teachings were wrong, among many other of his teachings". Did no one catch it before? Did no one understand what was happening? Was God telling Bakker all of the things that he said "God told him" each night on TV?
DID GOD SAY THESE THINGS?
The next TV money scheme goes like this, as the Lady Evangelist says: "Speak to that wallet, say, wallet be thou full" "Bank account be thou full". Let me say this just now: If a true minister of the gospel, can sit by and watch and listen to these terrible "robbery schemes" and not get upset in his spirit-HE NEEDS TO GET BACK TO THE CROSS HIM SELF!
I watch sometimes at night, a man called "Peter Ripoff" who is sending out "Miracle water" (large size) he says. One lady who used Peter's "Miracle Water" received $10.000.00 Another received $30.000.00 Every one is blessed by Peter's "Holy Water". Cannot God's people see that they have heaped to themselves teachers having itching ears, and have turned from the truth into fables, (Which means Nonsense.) as they watch TV, and go to these meetings?
Another night, I watched with great sadness, to a New TV station that had just come on the air for a short time. I watched often, and prayed that they would not take the path some of the other Ministries had taken, for we are desperately in need of a godly, honest TV Station in our area here in the mountains. The many months I had watched them, I had found them to be honest, and truthful in their doctrines, and in asking for funds for the station. Then, there was a "Telethon". (sometimes these telethons bring out the worst in some of the visiting ministers.) I heard the guest minister that night tell the Station owner: "We will use this method tonight, I have done it before, and it really works!"
It went something like this: They decided to give each size gift (pledge) that night a name. A hundred dollar gift, (or pledge) was called a sheep offering-a thousand dollar gift was called a Ram offering. I forget now what a smaller gift was called. As the calls came in, the "guest speaker" would take the written pledge, and place it in a "pot of dirt" where all could watch! He would then tell the TV audience: "We are planting that pledge in good soil".
Then another (Evangelist) came to the telethon, and he told the people that God said: "You can't come to me, except you bring something with you" which he was referring of course to a pledge. He was actually saying, that God said: don't come to me, unless you bring Me an offering! Does that sound like the God of the Bible? When a pledge would be called in, or a few of them anyway, he would act it out! He would pretend he was bringing the gift (pledge) to the Lord, and carry it across the platform and lay it at the feet of Jesus. I called the TV station and said: "Why are you letting this scoundrel do this on your program? You may loose your station if you don't stop this".
A few months later they went off the cable that we were on, I don't know what happened, or the reason. Many have been the honest Christians that have asked this question: "Aren't they afraid to lie"? NO, THEY ARE NOT AFRAID TO LIE!! Jesus said: in Matthew 24.and many false prophets shall rise, and DECEIVE MANY.
Don't you think for one minute that it isn't happening! As the Church slides more and more into apostasy, I see Pastors allowing many things in the their Church today, which at one time they would have stopped immediately!
WHAT IS THAT LORD?
One of the most downright deceptive lying ministers I have watched, is Robert. Tilton! After teaching his blessing message on TV, he then begins to sign off in this manner. While supposedly speaking to God over the prophecy he just gave to (someone-somewhere) most always a little widow woman, he begins to speak in tongues. And then, as if to "interpret the tongues he just gave", he says: "What is that God"? "You said what"? Yes, God I heard that, "a thousand dollars you said"? "Yes, a thousand dollars will be fine Lord". He then finishes his pitch for money (a thousand dollars) and sign's of the air till the next telecast. Jesus would have still been chasing this scoundrel with a whip! MINISTERS SHOULD BAN TOGETHER, AND TELL THE TELEVISION STATIONS, THEY WILL WITHDRAW ALL SUPPORT, AND REFUSE TO USE THE STATION FOR ANY MINISTRY PURPOSE, IF THIS TYPE MINISTER (WHOEVER THEY MAY BE) STAYS ON THE AIR!!
Who in heavens name is keeping these "Wolves in Sheep's clothing" on the air? That is right! The Christians! Again you ask the question: "AREN'T THEY AFRAID TO LIE ON GOD HIMSELF"? NO-NO-NO! THEY ARE NOT AFRAID TO LIE!! I have come to the conclusion, that until their untimely death, they will never stop deceiving God's people, unless Christians begin to read the Word of God for themselves, or, their Leaders, Pastor's-Teachers- begin to show them the whereabouts and methods that these Wolves are using.
Jesus pulled no punches when talking and warning the people of these prophets, why should we as Preachers of the gospel do so? Are we always going to hide behind the Matt.7:1...Judge not that ye be not judged! Touch not my anointed, and do my prophet no harm"? You cannot tell me as a minister of the gospel, we are not supposed to show the sheep where the Wolves are! What you have just (heard) read about) these men, can you with any kind of spiritual understanding say: "that these are God's anointed-these are God's prophets"?
Matt.7:15...Beware of false prophets, which come to you In sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
16...Ye shall know them by their fruits..
What would be the purpose of "being aware" of False Prophets as Jesus warned, when you found them you didn't-couldn't -or wouldn't, tell the sheep (congregation) where they were at? Some 40 years ago, an Old Colored Preacher told me: "Why yell Wolf! Wolf! If you don't tell the people where the Wolf is? It would be senseless! ANOTHER THING! You can never tell a false teacher, or preacher, by his appearance! He may look just like your Pastor! He will carry his bible the same way your Pastor carries his. He will smile-most likely, have a great personality-and, if you don't know God's Word, you probably won't have time to check out "the fruits" that Jesus said to look for! He will have done his damage and be long gone!
If you are a Christian, please note that these are the perilous times Jesus spoke about. The Devil is trying to destroy our Nation with every method possible. Our enemies from (without) are many in the world today. The enemies from (within) are just as ruthless, perverting the Word of God, deceiving and being deceived. Men with Bibles tucked snugly under their arm, and a smile as innocent as a baby. BUT ON THE INDSIDE, JESUS CALLED THEM: "RAVENING WOLVES"! Jesus used the analogy of one of the most ruthless and dangerous animals now in existence, THE WOLF!
One last important remark as I close, there are so many "perverted bibles" for sale today, that are confusing-and mis-leading God's children, check with us here as to the list of such "perverted bibles".
I have been called many things, by exposing some of the Charlatans. But I don't have to answer to man's ridicule, only to God. I have only touched briefly on just a few of these tactics and gimmicks, but by God's grace we will continue to warn the flock. I'm going home soon, and, maybe sooner than I even think! I don't want to stand before the Lord on that day, when He judges all flesh, for the deeds done in the body, and BE CALLED A COWARD, simply because of what I knew to be the truth, and was too afraid to share it because of ridicule, and (most always from someone in the Church.)
Dear friend, if you don't know the Savior today, I beg you to think of your soul and where you WILL spend eternity, for you will spend eternity somewhere! Hell, is just as real as Heaven, and the option is yours as to which place you decide to go. If you are a backslider today, please don't wait any longer to return to the Lord in true repentance, and have the Lord wash away your sins in His precious blood.
It is a shame to have to write of some of these things, but all through the Old Testament, God's true prophets were constantly, and consistently, warning the people of their turning away from God. Most all of the ministers that you have read about here, in all probably were at one time true servants of God! But "greed" got in the way! And although it looks sometimes that they are so very prosperous, on the inside they are "spiritual derelicts"!
